with No Comments

Montreal, Canada, April 15, 2020 AIESEC continues to warn all potential customers or partners to cancel or re-schedule any volunteering or internship abroad programs due to start earlier than 1 September 2020.

Following the earlier published “Statement on AIESEC’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak”, the development of the COVID-19 outbreak and in line with international and national safety advice and regulations, AIESEC has shifted the date of the earliest recommended start date for exchange programmes to the 1st of September 2020.

In light of the above-mentioned decisions, AIESEC has:

  • Made changes in the aiesec.org portal to prevent any application for volunteering projects or internships starting earlier than 1st of September 2020
  • Ensured that all national offices are informed and ready to assist any potential or current customers and partners in regards to the status of all current and upcoming volunteering projects, internships and events.
  • Cancelled or postponed all physical events such as conferences or congresses due to happen this summer and confirmed a great part of them, including the annual International Congress, to be held online.
  • Increased capacity of customer support teams to ensure a speedy response and appropriate support to any exchange participants, partners or members alike who might be faced with inconveniences caused by the COVID-19 spread and its consequences.

AIESEC advises all customers, partners or parents alike to contact the national AIESEC office in their location to receive a further appropriate response in line with the procedures in place applicable to each case and location.
