AIESEC’s International Congress Set To Be Held Online

with No Comments

Montreal, Canada, April 2, 2020 AIESEC decides to hold its annual International Congress virtually, amid concerns related to the widespread border closures and nationwide quarantines set to continue in the next months in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The conference was set to take place between the 9th and the 17th of July in Agra, India. While no changes to the dates of the event have been decided on as yet, AIESEC’s 72nd annual International Congress will be adapted to be held online rather than in a physical setting.

The decision has been made by the AIESEC International and the AIESEC International Congress team on Wednesday, the 1st of April 2020 after close monitoring of the COVID-19 outbreak in the past weeks and extensive risk assessments being carried out in consultation with appropriate stakeholders and in line with advice from authorities.

AIESEC assures all potential attendees and partners who planned or confirmed their participation at the event that appropriate measures are being taken to carry out the event virtually while ensuring the delivery of all engagement spaces at the highest possible quality and the fulfilment of event’s objectives.
