The YouthSpeak Survey, at its 3rd Edition

The YouthSpeak Survey, run by AIESEC, is a global insight survey created by youth for youth.

Conceptualised as a Global Youth Opinion Survey, the research gathered 24,000 responses at its first edition in 2013-2015, followed by a second edition, in 2016 gathering the voice of over 185,000+ young people representing 197 countries and territories – the biggest edition of the survey to date.

In July 2019, AIESEC launched a new edition of the survey, aiming to understand the collective motivations, hopes and fears for the future of young people worldwide.

The survey has been open for a one-year period and gathered over 50,000 responses spanning 100+ countries and territories.

Building a Youth Inclusive Future

The findings of the survey are being compiled in the 2020 edition of the YouthSpeak Survey Report – launched on October the 20th.

AIESEC has chosen the World Statistics Day as the date for launching the report and discuss the findings highlighted in it, at an event gathering representatives of AIESEC and a variety of stakeholders. The conversation will be centred around the idea of youth representation in decision-making and building a youth-inclusive future.

The event, held online, welcomes young people and like-minded organizations to join the conversation starting at 9:00 GMT-4 on October 20th, 2020 and live-streamed on social media.

An Interactive Discussion with a Multi-sectoral Perspective

With the event set to stream on AIESEC’s social media channels, it has the potential to reach an audience as big as 1 million followers.

The line-up of speakers and guests gathers a diverse range of thought leaders: from young leaders, from C-level executives of multinational corporations to international organizations representatives.

AIESEC takes this opportunity to engage youth with the organization and its partners around the topic of an inclusive youth joined by representatives from Electrolux, the International Labour Organization and Junior Chamber International, among others.
