The Leadership Call

On the very first day of the Congress, AIESEC centered the message on one simple keyword: Leadership, giving the main theme of the next few days its kickoff.

Throughout the day, the message was clear, and the activities diverse, including keynotes, workshops, and a panel delivered by some of the organizations that AIESEC can count on within their list of partnerships and alliances.

By delivering these spaces, it was clear that DPDHL, Amplifon, Project Everyone, Mindvalley, and One Young World are not only betting on youth but also walking the walk with clear steps towards providing young leaders with the skills necessary to succeed.

One Leadership, Multiple Perspectives

The day began with Maria Grau, Global AIESEC VP for Public Relations, welcoming the attendees to the day and setting the topic for the following hours.

The first Premium Partner to take the floor, DPDHL, delivered a keynote around what it takes to become a top employer and reaffirming their alignment to the AIESEC values and operations, such as acting sustainably.

Afterward, Congress delegates had the opportunity to attend five different workshops which served as a platform to engage with some of the AIESEC partners as well as a space to acquire useful skills for their leadership journeys.

The workshops centered around diverse takes on leadership such as education as a tool for empowerment by Project Everyone and creating and leading high-performing organizations by Amplifon, one space where delegates got to learn that “High performing organizations are grounded on diversity. At Amplifon, with more than 90 different nationalities, the diversity of backgrounds is key to effectively tackle future challenges from multiple perspectives. We are eager to partner with AIESEC to keep focusing on talent attraction and to leverage future opportunities together” said Alessio Biancheri, Amplifon Global Talent Associate Director, motivating AIESECers to further engage with the company.

One Last Message: Action

Lastly, and to close off the day, AIESEC launched its Leadership Talks space with two renowned guests: Kate Robertson, Co-Founder for One Young World, and Eva Dutary, Global President for AIESEC, hosted by Maria Grau, Global AIESEC VP for Public Relations.

During an extremely powerful conversation, which received positive responses from the attendees, the two CEOs got the chance to discuss their leadership journeys, the trends they see in youth leadership in the current world context, and most importantly, leave the delegates with a clear message: it’s time to act and it’s time to bring authentic young voices to the table with decision-makers.

With this, the day has come to an end but the Leadership Call is only starting and young AIESECers are more than welcome to engage with the participating organizations who have once again confirmed that they’re firm believers in youth and providers of powerful experiences for AIESECers around the Globe.
