Canada, Montreal, March 12, 2019 – AIESEC, the global youth-run organization, has recently partnered with the International Business Analytics Challenge (IBA Challenge), one of the largest analytics competition in the world. During the competition, young participants will be creating data-driven solutions to help AIESEC increase its impact and develop more young people across the world.
The IBA Challenge aims to pair data science, technologies, and creativity to build innovative solutions for a worldwide non-for-profit organization. The initiative is aimed for students interested in using data mining techniques to create value for a non-for-profit organization inspired by their data. It is a unique way for students to show their skills in building creative solutions based on real-life data to generate value for an organization.
“The IBA Challenge was created on the core belief that data science and AI should not only benefit large private entities but Society as a whole, including large scale leading NGO’s such as AIESEC. We also wanted participants to better understand the importance of business translation in data science projects and how it is necessary to generate value in organizations. It is a very hard thing to teach in a classroom. Letting participants discover it while trying to create value for a global organization such as AIESEC and having an impact is an amazing opportunity for everyone involved!” shares Johan Saba, Co-President of the IBA Challenge.
IBA Challenge participants, based on the given data set will we working on helping AIESEC find solutions regarding increasing amount of young people developing through cross-cultural exchanges and measuring AIESEC impact on exchange participants leadership development.
“As AIESEC we’re aiming to become a youth-leadership movement and we are aware, that to be able to engage and develop every young person in the world we need technology. We are confident that bright minds passionate about business intelligence and willing to support our purpose can help us build solutions we need.
