We believe in the power of young people to lead meaningful change in the world. This belief drives everything we do, from empowering young women to advocating for sustainable development. This year, we have had the honor to be present at global forums and events where our voice represents the dreams and aspirations of youth worldwide. One highlight was our participation at the CSW68 Summit in New York, where our Global President, Ana Leonor Fernandes, shared an inspiring message.

Our President of AIESEC International spoke passionately about the need to empower young women, emphasizing that leadership knows no boundaries when fueled by opportunities and confidence. She highlighted how AIESEC’s cross-cultural exchanges provide young women with transformative experiences, allowing them to build skills, break barriers, and become changemakers in their communities. It was a moment that reminded us why we do what we do – because every young person deserves the chance to lead.

Our Global Engagement

This year, we have worked like always to ensure that young voices are heard and supported. Our presence at global events has been a reflection of our commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and impact. Here are some of the ways we have made a difference:

– March: Participated in the UN Women CSW67 event in New York, contributing to discussions on youth leadership and gender equality.

– April: Engaged in the ECOSOC Youth Forum in New York, including its High-Level Private Gathering and Side Event on Leadership in Action, addressing the challenges faced by displaced young people.

– April: Delivered the World’s Largest Lesson in Nepal, Colombia, and Morocco, inspiring young people with knowledge about global citizenship and sustainability.

– May: Contributed to the Global Conference on Decent Jobs for Youth* in Kigali, Rwanda, advocating for youth employment alongside the International Labour Organization (ILO).

– July: Organized the International Congress in Egypt, bringing together youth leaders to share ideas and solutions for global challenges.

– September: Participated in key events like the Summit of the Future,  Rejuvenating the UN Workforce, and Digital Future for All, working alongside partners like Google Cloud, UNICEF, and UNIDO to create a better future.

Staying True to Our Purpose

These engagements are more than milestones; they are reminders of the collective strength of young people when given a platform. At AIESEC, we believe that leadership is developed through action, and our role is to create opportunities for young people to step up. By collaborating with partners who share our values, we are turning challenges into possibilities and dreams into realities.

Every exchange, every event, and every conversation brings us closer to a world where youth leadership is the norm, not the exception. Whether we’re advocating for young women to take the stage or working alongside global organizations to promote sustainability, our mission remains the same: to empower young leaders who will shape a better tomorrow.
